YEARLY EVENTS
February
Valentine Dinner/Dance – Youth host a special dinner and dance for members of the congregation. This is always a much appreciated event.
May
Scholars Lunch – United Methodist Women host a lunch for MVISD scholars each
year.
National Day of Prayer - The Franklin County observance of National Day of Prayer is held in the Family Life Center on May 1
Rainbow Graduation – Graduation Ceremonies are held each year for the children in our Preschool/DayCare Program
Summer
Confirmation – Confirmation Sunday is a day set aside to honor our confirmation class
Vacation Bible School – Volunteers provide VBS for the children of the church and the community every Summer
Youth Mission Trips - UM Army, CK2
Methodist Camps for children, Junior High and Senior High Students
October
Trunk or Treat - This is a wonderful event when adults dress up in Halloween Costumes. They come to the parking lot with trunks full of goodies for the children. A meal and other activities follow.
November
Church Bazaar – A craft bazaar is held every November. This has been a major fundraiser in past years.
December
Cantata – the chancel choir presents a Christmas Cantata at both worship services the 2nd or 3rd Sunday of December.
Blue Christmas – a special service of reflections and healing held just before Christmas.
Christmas Eve Services – Two services provided: a late afternoon service and an early evening service
