Lydia is an intern at the Pastoral Counseling and Education Center in Dallas, where she is completing her certification for the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.  First United Methodist Church serves as a satellite office for PCEC and Lydia is currently working with clients in the Mt. Vernon location.

Lydia has a Master of Divinity degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.  She began her training as a Pastoral Counselor in 2002 at Taft Counseling Center in Wichita Falls, TX.  Lydia is also a commissioned Deacon in the United Methodist Church.
